What is computer networking?

The number of operators can differ. For LAN, the most shared procedure is Ethernet and Wi-Fi with wireless LAN being favored over wired LAN.
Wide Area Network (WAN)
This kind of network serves a greater community situated in a larger geographical area.
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
This type of network connects computer devices in a larger geographical area than LAN and can span to a few buildings or a whole town. This kind of system shelters a superior part than LAN but lesser than WAN. It’s links usually use heat, wireless laser broadcasts to attach between two LANs.
Wireless Local Area Networks
This kind of network can be used without any physical media or wires to join various computers within one server.
The protocol of computer networking
In computer networking, two models are used. They include Open System Interconnection (OSI) that has seven layers. The layers include the application layer, presentation layer, session layer, transport layer, network layer, data link layer, and the physical layer.
The second model is the Transmission control protocol-internet protocol that has four layers. The layers include the application layer, transport layer, internet layer, and lastly the network layer.
